I think you would have been totally disillusioned. 👺 For me, aikido is like a first girl friend, and I can't figure out exactly what went wrong, fifty years later. She answers my calls, and explains it over and over again, but I always have to call one more time.
🤣 The training was a disappointment and the culture toxic (dojo-dependent to be sure), but the people I met through aikido were life-changing and a gateway to other martial arts.
From your writing it seems you threw yourself into it with 100% commitment and learned tremendously.
